Making cities healthier places for people to live

The majority of the world's population lives in cities, and climate change is hitting city dwellers hard.

We’re keen to explore how we can reimagine healthcare, and the way societies can better promote and support people’s health in a changing climate.

We believe that cities can play a huge role.

What does Bupa do as part of the Healthy Cities program?

  1. Fund planting of native trees and plants, and nature regeneration projects in and around our cities.
  2. Build knowledge and awareness about the connection between people and planet health through sponsorships and partnerships.
  3. Create change by bringing people and organisations together to advocate and take action.
  4. Deliver prevention programs including the Healthy Cities challenge that benefit the health of people and the planet.

Your impact

We’ve planted more than 578K+ native plants and trees over the past three years with support from our partners, Landcare Australia and Trees that Count.
