Year after year, independent experts recognise the value of our health cover and the quality of our service.
Explore what sets our health insurance apart.

In 2025, we received Canstar's Outstanding Value Award for Health Insurance in Australia, for the fourth year in a row. Canstar compared insurance policies on cost, inclusions, and benefits paid.
Bupa performed strongly across hospital, extras, and packaged cover. Our extras cover won Outstanding Value awards in 5 states (New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia).
Canstar also noted the value of benefits back from our Members First extras network of thousands of registered providers across Australia.
Finder named our Extras Saver cover the Best Core Extras Health Insurance in 2025.
That same year, we were also highly commended for our Basic, Bronze and Silver hospital cover. Our FLEXtras 4 Standard 50 cover was highly commended, too, for flexibility in the choice of services. In 2026, our extras cover earned a string of national and state awards in the Highly Commended category.
The awards reflect real value for the extras our customers use most.
Australians voted us their most trusted health insurance brand in the 2024 Reader's Digest Trusted Brands awards.
Reader's Digest surveys thousands of Australians who rate brands on quality, value, trustworthiness, and how well they understand customer needs.
We’re proud of what this win says about our standing with Australians.
WeMoney crowned us Health Insurer of the Year in 2024. We also came first in 3 more categories:
Together, the 4 wins cover what matters to us – quality, value, and how we look after customers when they claim.
In 2024, Roy Morgan named us the Most Trusted Brand in Private Health Insurance.
Roy Morgan surveys around 25,000 Australians a year, asking which brands they trust and distrust, and why. Based on what Australians said in the survey, we finished ahead of every other private health insurer compared.
Awards are one part of the picture. Here's what the data shows.

Bupa members experienced a higher proportion of no-gap medical services (no out-of-pocket costs) than Medibank Group members.1

Comparison statistics are from the Private Health Insurance Ombudsman’s State of the Health Funds Report 2024–25.
This report summarises the average coverage of each insurer’s policies across Australia.
You could get 50% or more back on most dental, physio, chiro and podiatry consultations at Members First providers, up to yearly limits.4

We're proud to hold Gold Employer status in the 2025 Australian Workplace Equality Index.

We've earned an A- Leadership rating in the 2025 CDP climate change disclosure.
Unlike product awards, trusted brand awards are based on what customers think.
