Dr Vivian Targett is an experienced general practitioner with a focus on women’s health, chronic disease management, weight management and reproductive health across all life stages. Since graduating from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in London in 2000, Dr Targett has worked extensively in family medicine and has been practising as a GP since 2007.
Dr Targett is committed to comprehensive, patient centred care and works closely with adults of all ages to support long term health, early intervention and sustainable lifestyle change. Her clinical interests include contraception, pregnancy care, PMS, menopause and the management of chronic conditions. She is also actively involved in medical education as a clinical supervisor of Monash University medical students and contributes as a casual lecturer and examiner at the University of Melbourne.
With a warm, respectful and collaborative approach, Dr Targett takes time to understand each person’s goals and health challenges, making sure care plans are tailored, practical and evidence based. She values continuity of care and empowers patients to make well informed decisions that support both immediate health needs and long term wellbeing.
