Dr Rian De Waal is a highly experienced general practitioner with expertise in family medicine. Having studied overseas in South Africa and Canada, he relocated to Australia and joined the Mackay practice in 2002.
Dr De Waal approaches patient care with empathy and respect, supporting patients throughout their health journey. Care starts with building strong patient relationships based on trust and open communication. He believes in working with patients to ensure each step is explained and tailored to their individual needs.
Dr De Waal’s special interests focus on family medicine. He consults Tuesday mornings, all day Thursday and Friday.
