About our centre

Carlton Railway Medical Centre offers modern, local healthcare seven days a week.

Our experienced team includes GPs, a psychologist, dietitian and physiotherapist, supported by skilled nursing staff to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care that feels personal, practical and close to home.

Located between Kogarah and Hurstville, we support the local community with onsite comprehensive health support, including psychology, pathology and the Carlton Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

Our multilingual team speaks Arabic, Greek, Nepali, Mandarin and Vietnamese, and our onsite treatment room helps make visits smoother and more comfortable. Our doctors and nurses are here to support you with practical healthcare that works around you and your wellbeing.

Policies

We are a Mixed Billing Practice, some of our practitioner’s bulk bill in certain circumstances, however it is important to note that all billings are at the discretion of the General Practitioner.

Centrelink pension, concession, and health care card holders, as well as children under 16 years of age, are bulk billed. A private fee will typically apply for all other patients.

Note: Bulk billed patients may be required to pay a private fee for certain bookings or as walk-ins without appointments. Please ask our receptionists when making a booking for further information.

Overseas students and visitors will need to pay the full fee on the day, before making a claim with their health insurer.

We understand that plans change, and so do your health needs. But cancelations and no-shows’ inconvenience other patients by taking up appointment times.

That is why we charge a fee of $100 if you provide less than 4 hours' notice. We will ask you to pay this fee during your next visit.
