Dr Jayaweera is an experienced general practitioner who provides care across general practice and family medicine in a clinic setting. Since moving to Melbourne, she has worked with a diverse patient population, supporting individuals and families with a wide range of health needs, from preventative care to more complex and ongoing conditions.

She has a strong interest in women’s health, including menopausal care and reproductive health, as well as chronic disease management, mental health and paediatrics. Dr Jayaweera also focuses on lifestyle medicine, supporting patients to make practical, sustainable changes that improve long-term health and quality of life.

Dr Jayaweera works with patients at every stage of life, from children and families to adults and older patients. She takes a holistic, patient‑centred approach, focusing on prevention, clear communication and partnership-based care. She speaks Sinhalese, helping her connect with a diverse patient community.
