Dr Kevin Sandhu is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer. He holds a medical degree from the University of Auckland and is a Fellow of both the Royal Australian and Royal New Zealand Colleges of General Practitioners. Kevin initially undertook general surgery training. During this time, he held honorary appointments as a Surgical Lecturer for both the University of Auckland and the University of Otago, where he was involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors.
His surgical training included time in plastic surgery at Southern DHB, where he developed a strong interest in skin cancer and recognised the significant burden it places across Australasia - particularly the lack of access to early detection and prevention. This experience led him to transition into skin cancer medicine, which has been his primary clinical focus since 2014.
He has completed Advanced Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy through the Skin Cancer College Australasia. His clinical practice includes full-body skin checks, dermoscopic imaging, and a wide range of treatment options - from to reconstructive procedures - with careful attention to cosmetic outcome at every stage.
