Policies
Sydney CBD Medical is a mixed billing centre. This means some patients and services are bulk billed, while others will have out-of-pocket costs.
We bulk bill for:
- flu and COVID-19 vaccinations
- wound care reviews
- Chronic Disease Management Plans
- Team Care Arrangements.
Some other things to know:
- Sexual health clinic appointments may be bulk billed at the practitioner's discretion. This includes screening and results for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), as well as appointments about prescriptions for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and contraception.
- Overseas students and visitors will need to pay the full fee on the day, before making a claim with their health insurer.
We understand that plans change, and so do your health needs. But cancellations and no-shows inconvenience other patients by taking up appointment times.
That's why we charge the following fees if you provide less than 6 hours’ notice:
- $85 for skin check appointments
- $40 for other GP appointments
We'll ask you to pay this fee during your next visit.
