Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the "Bupa Travel Insurance Priceless Giveaway Competition" Competition (Competition). Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
  3. The Promoter is Bupa HI Pty Ltd (ABN 81 000 057 590), 33 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000 (Promoter) in partnership with Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte.Ltd. (Partner)
  4. The Competition commences at 00:00 AEST on 3rd August 2026 and closes at 23:59 AEST on 27th September 2026 (Competition Period).
  5. There is one (1) prize to be won. The first valid entry drawn will win a luxury family holiday to Bali, Indonesia, for up to four (4) people (two (2) adults and two (2) children) valued at up to AUD$60,000 (depending on date and point of departure), comprising the following elements (Prize):
  • Four (4) return economy class flights from the winner's closest Australian capital city to Denpasar, Bali, including airport taxes and standard airline levies;
  • Nine (9) nights' accommodation in Bali, including:
    • Six (6) nights in Nusa Dua at a luxury resort, minimum 5-stars in a Two Bedroom Lagoon Pool Residence or similar standard; and
    • Three (3) nights in Ubud at a luxury resort, minimum 5-stars in a Two Bedroom Pool Villa or similar standard;
  • Private airport transfers and private intercity transfers between Nusa Dua and Ubud for four (4) people;
  • Curated experiences and inclusions, which may include:
    • Private snorkelling tour in Nusa Dua;
    • Private Balinese cooking class with chef and lunch;
    • Half day private island or coastal tour;
    • Visits to cultural landmarks such as Uluwatu Temple, Tegallalang Rice Terraces and Tirta Empul Temple;
    • Admission to Bali Safari & Marine Park;
    • Sunset cruise experience; and
    • Monkey Forest visit and private jungle tour.
  1. Accommodation, experiences, meals, transport and activities are subject to availability and may be substituted with offerings of a similar or greater value at the Promoter's discretion. Additional spending money, meals (other than those included), additional transfers, transport to and from departure point, taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes), insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included. The Prize must be taken between 1st January 2027 and 30th September 2027 and is subject to booking and flight availability.
  1. The winner and their companions must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the Prize. Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual Prize and service providers. The winner may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in. The Promoter will not be responsible if the winner or their companions are refused entry into Denpasar, Bali, for any reason. During the entire duration of the prize, a nominated parent/guardian must accompany any person under 18 years of age.
  1. All travel experiences or ticket elements of the Prize are subject to the relevant venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restrictions. The Promoter and event or travel experience organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject the winner (and/or his/her companion/s) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the Prize.

How to enter

  1. Entry into the Competition is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who have a Mastercard (Eligible Entrants).
  2. To be eligible to enter and receive one (1) automatic entry into the draw, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period, purchase any Bupa Travel Insurance product (Eligible Product) using their Mastercard (Qualifying Transaction), and provide a valid email address to the Promoter upon request to enable the Promoter to award the Prize.
  3. Eligible Entrants must not be an employee of the Promoter or its related entities and must not have any immediate family members who are employees of the Promoter or its related entities. Immediate family means spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, parent or step parent, brother, sister, step brother or step sister or 1st cousin.
  4. Multiple entries permitted. Only one (1) entry permitted per Eligible Product purchased in a Qualifying Transaction.
  5. Entries must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when they have actually been received by the Promoter.
  6. Entrants are responsible for their own costs associated with entering.
  7. Entrants who use automatically generated entries or multiple aliases, may be disqualified from the Competition.
  8. Entrants who cancel the Bupa Travel Insurance product purchased in their Qualifying Transaction within the 21 days cancellation period, will be deemed ineligible.

Prize Draw and Redemption

  1. The Prize, including any component or any unused portion of the Prize, is not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, unless otherwise specified.
  2. The Prize may not be resold, offered for resale, used for advertising, promoting or other commercial purposes. The Prize must be taken as offered and may not be varied.
  3. The Prize value is correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST.
  4. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the Prize. If the Prize (or part of the Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a prize of equal or greater value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
  5. Subject to the unclaimed Prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not take the Prize (or an element of the Prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the Prize (or that element of the Prize) will be forfeited.
  6. The Prize draw will take place on 21st of October 2026 at 11:00am AEDT at Level 3/162 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, in the presence of an independent scrutineer. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn.
  7. Winner will be notified by email within 7 days of the draw.
  8. Winners' details (first initial, surname and postcode) will be published on the website at https://www.bupa.com.au/travel-insurance/mastercard-competition-winners (Website) on 28th of October 2026.
  9. If the Prize has not been accepted or claimed by 11:59pm AEDT on 22nd of November 2026 (Prize Claim Date) or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact the winner (or the winner does not contact the Promoter) by the Prize Claim Date, the relevant entry will be discarded and the Promoter will conduct an unclaimed prize draw on 23rd of November 2026 at the same time and place as the original draw in order to distribute the unclaimed Prize, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The Prize must be claimed by 11:59pm AEDT on 22nd of December 2026 for the unclaimed prize draw winner, if any.
  10. The winner in the unclaimed prize draw (if any) will be notified by email within 7 days of the draw.
  11. The details (first initial, surname and postcode) of the winner in the unclaimed prize draw will be published on the Website on 30th of November 2026.
  12. Prize and all elements of Prizes must be taken as and when offered or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. Use of the Prize is subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier.
  13. Where the Promoter, acting reasonably, is of the view that an entrant has breached these Terms and Conditions, it reserves the right to discard their entry.
  14. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and may disqualify any entrant who is not eligible to enter the Competition under these Terms and Conditions or who fails to verify the validity of their entry.

General terms

  1. Entrants must not, in relation to this Competition:
    1. tamper with the entry process;
    2. engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition;
    3. act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
    4. do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this Competition;
    5. breach any law; or
    6. behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
  2. The Promoter is not liable for entries, Prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.
  3. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks.
  4. The Promoter's decision in connection with all aspects of this Competition is final.
  5. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
  6. Incomplete Qualifying Transactions will be deemed invalid.
  7. Total prize pool value is up to AUD$60,000.
  8. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, government lockdown, pandemic or any other kind of disaster or unforeseeable event beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition or suspend, substitute or modify the Prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
  9. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are the winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  10. If this Competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to end, change, suspend or cancel the Competition, as appropriate or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
  11. As a condition of accepting the Prize, the winner must sign any reasonable legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
  12. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from an entrant winning the Prize. Entrants should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this Competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants must follow the Australian Taxation Office's stated view that where the parties are at arm's length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
  13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including for negligence), for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way in connection with this Competition, including but not limited to:
    1. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control);
    2. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
    3. any tax liability incurred by a winner (independent financial advice should be sought);
    4. if any experience as part of the Prize is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; or
    5. accepting and/or using the Prize.
  14. The Promoter is not responsible for any undelivered emails due to an entrant's spam filters or email settings.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any person who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, provided false information or who seek to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Competition. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  16. If this Competition is promoted through third-party websites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram (Third-Party Platforms), by entering the Competition, Eligible Entrants may be subject to terms and conditions of the Third-Party Platforms. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by the Third-Party Platforms. Eligible Entrants are providing their information to the Promoter's Third-Party Platform account. Eligible Entrants are solely responsible and liable for any information they transmit to other internet users. Any questions, comments or complaints about the Competition must be directed to the Promoter, and not the Third-Party Platforms.
  17. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia.
  18. When you purchase an Eligible Product, Travel Insurance Partners Pty Ltd (TIP) will handle your personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy. TIP will share your information with the Promoter for the purposes of conducting and administering this Competition, and to assist the Promoter to improve its services. The Promoter may, for this purpose and to fulfil the Prize, disclose such personal information to third parties, including but not limited to the Partner, as well as agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. The Promoter's Information Handling Policy explains how it handles your personal information, how you can access or update your information, or contact the Promoter about your privacy. If the personal information is not provided, the entrant may not participate in this Competition. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless otherwise indicated by the Promoter, the Promoter may disclose PI to entities outside of Australia as set out in the Promoter's Information Handling Policy.
