You may already be covered for ambulance

The state government already covers your ambulance fees if your principal place of residence is Queensland. You and your dependants (including any aged under 25 and studying full-time) are automatically covered for emergency ambulance treatment and transport Australia wide.

If you receive an invoice for ambulance treatment or transport from another state or territory ambulance service, forward the invoice to the Queensland Ambulance Service for payment.
You'll also need to provide proof that Queensland was your principal place of residence at the time of the ambulance service.

The Queensland Ambulance Service has a Patient Transport Service available for non-emergency ambulance transport if you meet certain criteria.
A medical practitioner must assess you as medically unsuitable for community, public or private transport for you to be eligible for this service.
