If you've been in hospital for a heart attack, stroke or other cardiovascular event, The COACH Program® offers phone calls with a qualified dietitian, trained in cardiovascular disease management. It's like having your very own personal 'coach' in your corner to support you during your recovery.

During the program, your Bupa Telehealth Health Coach will call you every 4-6 weeks, at a time that suits you^. You can also call or email your Health Coach in between sessions if you have any questions.

During your sessions, your Health Coach will work closely with you to reduce the likelihood of any future cardiac health complications. This includes working to achieve the recommended National Heart Foundation and National Stroke Foundation targets.

Recommendations may include:

  • Controlling cholesterol, blood pressure and blood glucose levels
  • Reducing or eliminating smoking and alcohol
  • Achieving nutrition, physical activity, and weight goals.

At the end of each session, you will receive a written summary report that details the key points discussed during the phone conversation.
