What does the program provide?

Traditionally, people with persistent back pain have relied on repeated appointments, surgery, or medication – often with limited success.+ MoreGoodDays® takes a new approach. Grounded in the latest back pain science and aligned with global++ and Australian clinical guidelines, the program addresses the biopsychosocial factors that contribute to persistent back pain. This approach may help you reduce back pain so you can enjoy life more fully.

The 8-week back pain management and recovery program provides:

  • Up to 7 video or phone calls~ with a physiotherapist and psychologist experienced in persistent back pain
  • Access to the MoreGoodDays® app (mobile or browser) to engage in the program when and where it suits you
  • Structured online modules covering back pain and condition education, movement, sleep, nutrition, emotional regulation and flare-up planning
  • On-demand library of resources, including expert interviews, stretches and exercises, guided meditations and practical tools to support your back pain recovery
  • Strategies to help you build long-term confidence in managing back pain and reducing your flare-ups.

Program eligibility

If you meet the following criteria, you may be eligible for the MoreGoodDays® program:

  • You are a Bupa Health Insurance customer with a hospital policy that includes cover for back, neck and spine – check what you’re covered for or contact us
  • You are 18 years or older and experiencing back pain that has persisted for 3 months or more
  • You have access to the internet and a compatible device and are willing to engage in psychological and movement-based strategies to manage your back pain
  • You have not had spinal fusion surgery in the past 12 months
  • You are willing to consider long-term non-surgical management of persistent back-pain.

Program eligibility, fund, policy and waiting period rules also apply.

~Telehealth sessions will be scheduled directly with MoreGoodDays® and occur within their operating hours of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (AEST/AEDT). Calls won’t be scheduled on public holidays.

#Depending on your level of cover some out-of-pocket costs may apply, like hospital excess or co-payments, fees for medical tests or specialist consultations not covered by bulk billing, and medication. Additional expenses such as having a compatible smart device and reliable phone and internet connection also apply for virtually delivered care.
