Bupa Health Insurance has engaged with Kieser, a company with physiotherapy and strength training clinics in Vic, NSW, Qld, SA, ACT and Tas, to help our eligible customers* manage the symptoms of hip and knee osteoarthritis.

Agreed sessions with a dietitian for nutritional advice and support with meal planning

What does the program provide?
The pain associated with osteoarthritis can lead to difficulty moving and result in muscle weakness and wasting. But treatment guidelines for hip and knee osteoarthritis recommend exercise and weight management as effective tools to help keep joints as flexible and pain-free as possible.
Kieser’s network of clinics offer programs that are developed by exercise scientists, with participants using Swiss-engineered strength-training machines under the supervision of physiotherapists and exercise physiologists.
Through education and exercise, Kieser aims to ensure participants develop skills to self-manage their osteoarthritis, become or stay active, prevent symptom progression and reduce pain.
The 15-week Hip & Knee Osteoarthritis Program consists of^:
- An initial assessment by a physiotherapist
- 8 treatment and supervised exercise sessions with a physiotherapist
- 2 sessions with a dietitian (if required)
- 8 strength training sessions with an exercise physiologist or exercise scientist
- Additional complimentary 12 weeks of free access to any Kieser clinic~
- Unlimited use of the Kieser Konnect App+.
