Having a healthy diet doesn't mean you have to skimp on taste and satisfaction. If you’re looking to improve your diet, a Health Coach from Bupa Telehealth's Dietitian Health Coaching service may be able to help you.
For eligible Bupa Health Insurance members*, Dietitian Health Coaching includes:
Phone calls with a Dietitian Health Coach from Bupa Telehealth
Support in a range of areas, from general healthy eating to diabetes control or prevention
Tailored advice to help you reach your healthy eating goals, available to you at no additional cost#

What does Dietitian Health Coaching provide?
Dietitian Health Coaching provides you with support across a wide range of nutrition areas including:
- General healthy eating
- Healthy eating for the family
- Weight management
- Fertility / pregnancy
- Vegetarian / vegan diets
- Allergies, intolerances, and other gastro-intestinal disturbances
- Diabetes control or prevention
- Cardiovascular disease health
- Sports nutrition.
Your Dietitian Health Coach can tailor advice and provide support to help you reach your agreed healthy eating goals.

Dietitian Health Coaching eligibility
Bupa Telehealth's Dietitian Health Coaching service is available to eligible Bupa Health Insurance customers with the following covers:
Gold Ultimate Health Cover
Enjoy three phone appointments over a 2- to 4-month period every calendar year.
- 1 x 45- to 60-minute phone call; and
- 2 x 15- to 30-minute phone calls.
Silver Plus Prime
Enjoy two phone appointments over a 2- to 3-month period once every calendar year.
- 1 x 45- to 60-minute phone call; and
- 1 x 15- to 30-minute phone call.
Simple Start - Basic Plus
Enjoy two phone appointments over a 2- to 3-month period once every calendar year.
- 1 x 45- to 60-minute phone call; and
- 1 x 15- to 30-minute phone call.
+Please note: Simple Start – Basic Plus hospital cover is no longer available for sale to new customers or existing customers wishing to change their cover. Customers who currently hold Simple Start – Basic Plus hospital cover are still eligible for Dietitian Health Coaching.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Extras
Enjoy two phone appointments over a 2- to 3-month period once every calendar year.
- 1 x 45- to 60-minute phone call; and
- 1 x 15- to 30-minute phone call.
Program eligibility, fund, policy and waiting period rules also apply.

*Dietitian Health Coaching is available to eligible Bupa Health Insurance members who hold Gold Ultimate Health Cover, Silver Plus Prime, Simple Start – Basic Plus Hospital Cover or OSHC Extras. Waiting periods, fund, policy and program eligibility rules apply. All customers must serve a 2-month waiting period before engaging with the service. Excludes Overseas Visitors Cover (OVC).

#While Bupa Telehealth’s Dietitian Health Coaching is provided to eligible Bupa Health Insurance customers at no additional cost, ancillary costs such as mobile phone, internet and landline maintenance, usage and service costs will be borne by the customer.
^While Health Coaches will endeavour to organise calls at a time that suits, the availability of preferred call times will be subject to the Health Coach’s schedule. Additionally, Dietitian Health Coaching operates Monday – Friday from 8am to 6pm AEST/AEDT and not on Public Holidays. All calls must be arranged during these standard operating hours.
~Telephone interpreter services provided by third party, The Hello Co. If you would like to use this service when you contact Bupa Telehealth on-demand and without notice, not all languages may be available during that phone call. Coaching calls (as part of Bupa Telehealth’s programs) cannot be completed on-demand as medically-trained interpreters may not be available. For coaching calls (as part of Bupa Telehealth’s programs), please provide at least 2 business days’ advance notice of the telephone interpretation language you require so that the interpreter service for your coaching call can be scheduled by Bupa Telehealth. This interpreter service is provided at no cost to individuals who request this service.
Bupa Health Insurance will fund eligible customers in accordance with their policy issued by Bupa Health Insurance Pty Ltd. To avoid doubt, Bupa Health Centres Pty Ltd is not involved in the design and delivery of the program.
