Our hospital cover also includes unlimited emergency ambulance, which means we’ll cover the cost of your emergency transport and on-the-spot treatment by ambulance medical professionals.+

Services that aren't hospital related are called 'extras'. By having extras cover, you'd get some money back for everyday services (like dental, physiotherapy, chiropractic, optical and more) as long as your waiting periods have been served and up to yearly limits. Bupa has a large network of thousands of healthcare professionals across Australia to help with your health needs.
Medical treatment can be very expensive in Australia. If you don't have hospital cover, you'll have to pay all medical fees yourself if you become unwell, have an accident or are admitted to a hospital.
The Australian government strongly recommends all visitors get private health insurance whether it's a visa condition or not so that you can be covered for any unplanned medical care or hospital care you may need while in Australia.
