Get 8 Weeks Free when joining eligible working Overseas Visitors Cover

1. The Offer

If you’re an Eligible Customer who maintains an Eligible Bupa Health Insurance Policy and pays by direct debit, you’ll receive from Bupa HI Pty Ltd (ABN 81 000 057 590) (Bupa):

8 weeks free, with the value of your free weeks based on your level of cover when you make a payment. How it works:

  1. Unless you pay yearly, in most cases, your 6 weeks free will be applied 28 days after you join, extending the date you’re “paid to”. The remaining 2 weeks are applied once you’ve held eligible cover for 13 months, extending the date you’re “paid to” on the following billing cycle.
  2. If your weeks free period ends before your next direct debit date, we may take a smaller-than usual payment to make up the difference.
  3. If you join through a Bupa consultant and pay yearly, your first payment will be reduced by the value of 6 weeks. The remaining 2 weeks are applied once you’ve held eligible cover for 13 months. This means your third yearly payment will be reduced by the value of 2 weeks.

2. Eligible Customer

You are an Eligible Customer if you:

  1. have not held Bupa health insurance within the last 60 days of your join date;
  2. are transferring from a Bupa Overseas Student Health Cover
  3. are an overseas visitor residing in Australia on a working visa and over the age of 18;
  4. take out an Eligible Bupa Health Insurance Policy (see Section 3) between 15/06/2026 and 11:59pm AEST on 30/08/2026 and commence your policy by 30/09/2026;
  5. pay your health insurance premiums by direct debit ongoing to receive the Offer;
  6. provide a valid email address; and
  7. use promo code 8WEEKS if joining online.

 

3. Eligible Bupa Health Insurance Policy

An Eligible Health Insurance Policy is a working Overseas Visitors Cover Hospital only product issued by Bupa listed below:

  1. Essential Lite Visitors Cover
  2. Essential Visitors Cover

This offer excludes:

  1. Essential 50 Visitors Cover
  2. Mid 60 Visitors Cover;
  3. Overseas Student Health Cover;
  4. Short Stay Visitors Cover;
  5. Reciprocal Health Cover – Basic;
  6. All non-working Overseas Visitors Cover products;
  7. All Domestic Health Insurance products;
  8. Extras only products; and
  9. Ambulance only products.

4. General 

  1. Yearly limits, waiting periods, benefit claiming restrictions, policy and fund rules apply.
  2. The Offer is not available with any other Bupa promotional join offer.
  3. The Offer can not be used in conjunction with university or corporate ongoing discounts.
  4. If you do not satisfy these terms and conditions before becoming entitled to the Offer then Bupa may elect, acting reasonably, not to award you with the Offer. If Bupa discovers that you did not satisfy any of these terms and conditions after the Offer has been awarded, then Bupa may decide, acting reasonably, to remove the Offer.
  5. Bupa reserves the right to end, change or extend this Offer at any time.
  6. Bupa is not liable for any loss or damage suffered because of this promotion (except that which cannot be excluded by law).
  7. The Offer is not available if you join through a price comparator.
  8. The Offer is not available to any customers attached to a corporate group including employees [or contractors] of Bupa, or any other Bupa Group company
