New customers joining Essential Lite Visitors Cover from 1 August 2026 until 30 November 2026 will receive a 15% discount off the current premium until 31 July 2027

1. The Discount

All Eligible Customers (see section 2 below) will receive from Bupa HI Pty Ltd (ABN 81 000 057 590) (Bupa) a 15% discount off the standard premium of Essential Lite from the date of join to 31 July 2027. On 1 August 2027, the discount will be removed and the full in market standard premium will apply.

 

2. Eligibility

The Discount is available to you if you:

  1. are an overseas visitor residing in Australia on a working visa;
  2. are either a new Bupa health insurance customer who has not been insured by Bupa within the last 30 days prior to your join date, or transfer from a Bupa Overseas Student Health Cover;
  3. take out an eligible Bupa Essential Lite Visitors Cover policy from 1 August 2026 to 30 November 2026;
  4. pay your health insurance premiums by direct debit; and
  5. provide a valid email address.

If you meet all of the eligibility criteria above, you are an Eligible Customer.

This discount excludes:

  1. Essential Visitors Cover;
  2. Essential 50 Visitors Cover;
  3. Mid 60 Visitor Cover;
  4. Explorer 50 Visitors Cover;
  5. Explorer Visitors Cover;
  6. Premium 90 Visitors cover;
  7. Premium Visitors Cover; or
  8. Short Stay Visitors Cover;
  9. Combined Hospital and Extras Overseas Visitors Cover
  10. Overseas Student Health Cover
  11. Domestic Health Insurance products;
  12. Extras only products;
  13. Ambulance only products;
  14. Any company funded Bupa health plans (either partially or fully funded by company);
  15. Any products purchased via a comparator; and
  16. Any products purchased via an agent outside of the approved migration list.

3. General

  1. The Discount is available with weeks free (OVC hospital only) Bupa promotions.
  2. This Discount is not available with an organisation discount.
  3. If you breach these terms and conditions before becoming entitled to the Discount then Bupa may elect, acting reasonably, not to apply the Discount. If Bupa discovers the breach after the Discount has been applied, then Bupa may decide, acting reasonably, to remove the Discount from your account.
  4. Bupa is not liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of this Discount (except that which cannot be excluded by law).
  5. Bupa reserves the right to extend or remove this Discount at any time.
