Bupa is offering premium relief to help customers impacted by the rainfall and flooding in North Queensland and the Northern Territory.
For our health insurance customers
Bupa is helping eligible* customers impacted by rainfall and floods by providing three months premium relief.
*Eligibility
To be eligible for the offer, customers must:
- Be a Bupa health insurance member on 24 March 2026.
- Provide us with evidence of the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment issued from the Department of Human Services.
- Apply for Bupa's premium relief to Bupa by 19 September 2026.
Eligible customers will receive the premium relief based on their level of cover on 24 March 2026.

If you are holding a Bupa Home, Car or Pet Insurance policy you may also benefit from additional support.

Home & contents insurance: Customers with home and contents insurance may be eligible to make a claim. Call our 24/7 Emergency Claims Assistance team on 02 7201 5060 for immediate support.

Pet insurance: If you are facing flood-related evacuations, we’ll cover emergency pet boarding for insured pets at licensed kennels/catteries until 15 April 2026. Other policy T&Cs apply. If you've been affected by the rainfall and floods in North Queensland and the Northern Territory, you can apply for our premium relief package until 19 September 2026.
To be eligible for Bupa's premium relief offer, you must:
- Be a Bupa Health insurance member on 24 March 2026.
- Provide us with evidence of the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment issued from the Department of Human Services.
- Apply for their premium relief with us by 19 September 2026.
Eligible customers will receive the premium relief based on their level of cover on 24 March 2026.

This offer is only open to customers who have received the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment issued from Services Australia, however if you are ineligible for this offer and are experiencing financial hardship as a result of the rainfall and floods you can contact us on 134 135 to discuss other options that could be available to you.
You must have first received the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment from Services Australia, before applying for the Bupa Premium Relief offer.
Once you have confirmation, you can apply by email at floods@bupa.com.au visit a Bupa Health Insurance store or call us on 134 135. You will need to have evidence of the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment issued from Services Australia included in your application.
Following submission of your application with all supporting documents, your request will be processed within 5 business days.

The Bupa Premium Relief offer will only apply to the level of cover you had on 24 March 2026.
If you upgrade to a different policy during the three month premium relief period, you will be required to pay the difference in premiums between the two policies, and serve any relevant waiting periods that may apply.
As an example, if you downgrade your cover during the three month premium relief period, you will still receive the premium relief on the downgraded level of cover.
Your health insurance will continue to be covered, and you will be able to claim on your cover as you normally would. Yearly limits, waiting periods, fund and policy rules apply.
