Q. What is the Bupa app?
A. To make our app better for you, we’ve made some design changes to help you manage your health cover faster and easier. Now you can easily access myBupa by creating a pin or using your fingerprint with Touch ID, view and update your primary contact details, locate Members First healthcare and hospital providers, make a claim by uploading a photo of your receipt, and view your claim status and history.
Q. Why do I need the Bupa mobile app?
A. If you're a member, you can log into myBupa for all your details and make a claim for selected Extras services wherever you are. You can also update your membership details.
Q: What do I need to use the app?
A: You need an iPhone¹ or Android² smartphone, as well as mobile data or Wi-Fi internet connectivity to fully utilize the app. Check with your mobile/internet service provider for details of data download and internet usage charges.
Q. What's new?
A. The new Bupa app has been redesigned with the following enhancements:
- Login via pin/ touch id
- View your cover information.
- View history of claims and make a claim for some Extras services.
- Update your contact details
- Direct use of Google Maps² search, in line with best-of-breed iPhone¹ and Android² app design – and still with the ability to tailor the search by postcode or suburb. Users can also revert to the familiar list-based search if required.
- An automatic download process for database updates – you will not have to go back to the iTunes¹ or App Store¹ to download the app for the latest data.
Q. What claims can I make?
A. You can make claims on some Extras services based on your level of cover with Bupa.
Please note: this service is currently available to customers on Combined Hospital and Extras products.
Q. What services can I find?
A: Find a dentist, optometrist, physiotherapist, chiropractor, podiatrist, medical specialists or a hospital near you.
Q: Why did Bupa introduce this service?
A: Bupa introduced this app in order to better service our customers, and to provide an easy to use tool locate Members First healthcare and hospital providers.
Q: How do I download the Bupa app?
A: If you own an iPhone¹ or iPod¹, the app can be downloaded for free from within the Apple iTunes¹ store, or via the App Store¹ on your iPhone/iPod¹.
If you own an Android based device, you can download the app for free from the Google Play Store².

Q: What if I have mobile data or Wi-Fi turned off?
A: If your smartphone's mobile data or Wi-Fi connection is turned off, you may still view some information on the app. But, in order to fully utilise the app capability, we recommend you use the app while you are connected to internet.
