Senior physiotherapist Vicky Cook

Vicky has over 15 years’ experience in neurological physiotherapy working in hospital and community settings in and around Melbourne. She has extensive experience in the rehabilitation of a variety of neurological conditions (including stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease), brain and spinal cord injuries/tumours, as well as falls/balance and vestibular conditions.

In addition to physiotherapy and Masters degrees, Vicky has completed advanced training in Bobath (Neurodevelopmental) treatment and vestibular rehabilitation. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at both physiotherapy and rehabilitation conferences. Her research interests include neurological rehabilitation and falls prevention.

Vicky has extensive experience working in interdisciplinary teams with a consumer-focussed model of care. She is passionate about disability rehabilitation and maximising the physical potential in every patient she sees. She also values and respects the inclusion and participation of carers in this process.

In her spare time Vicky enjoys yoga, being a mum and playing the Ukelele. She is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, including the National Neurology Group.
