Using a hospital in our network is one of the most important ways you can keep your out-of-pocket costs down when you're going into hospital. This can mean the difference between just paying the excess or co-payment towards your hospital costs, or thousands of dollars, depending on your procedure.
Our network includes most private hospitals and day surgeries across the country, and you can search for them by using our Find a provider tool. Hospitals are listed by the different agreements they have with us. Public hospitals and private hospitals that don't have an agreement with us won't appear on the list.
You'll be able to find the contact details for the hospital, such as the phone number and address, and what kind of agreement they have with us in each listing.

Can I go to a public hospital as a private patient?
My procedure will take place at a non-agreement hospital. What should I do?
Can I have a private room?
We'll pay benefits for a private room in a Members First or Network hospital when you're covered for your procedure and you’ve served your waiting periods. You can request a private room on your admission paperwork.
If you request a private room in a Members First hospital at least 24 hours before your overnight admission but a private room isn't available once you're admitted, you'll receive $50 a day from the hospital for every day you're not in a private room. There are some exclusions to this arrangement, such as 'nursing home type patients', emergency care, same-day stays or where a private room is medically inappropriate.
You may need to pay an additional private room fee if you're admitted to a public hospital.
