Dean Holden

"As a leading international health & care company, Bupa is committed to connecting our customers to care that is affordable, accessible and focused on their needs. As part of our mission, we are also actively seeking opportunities to make an even more substantial contribution to improving health outcomes across the health and care continuum for the benefit of all Australians."

Since the last issue of Advancing Healthcare, the Bupa Group globally has undergone some significant changes. As part of this process, our local business units (including Health Insurance in Australia, and our residential aged care interests - Bupa Care Services in both Australia and New Zealand) were officially united under one banner. I was delighted to be appointed Managing Director of Bupa’s Australia and New Zealand market unit. I was also pleased to see us complete the acquisition of Dental Corporation, Australia and New Zealand’s largest dental group, helping us to further diversify our business.

In this issue of Advancing Healthcare, we feature a range of activities geared towards improving care and outcomes for our members, and others, which also reflect the growing breadth of our business and the expertise within it. The more we diversify and collaborate, the better equipped we are to meet the needs of our customers and bring to life our purpose of helping Australians lead longer, healthier, happier lives.

Yours sincerely,

Dean Holden
Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand
