Bupa recognition criteria

Minimum educational qualifications
For Remedial Massage Therapists to attain Bupa recognition for benefit payment purposes, the applicant must have completed a diploma in Remedial massage at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Applicants without this qualification must have their current competencies assessed by an RTO to determine equivalency.
The following courses meet these minimum requirements:
- HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage
- HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy
- HLT50307 Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy
- HLT50302 Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy
Additionally, applicants must meet the compulsory additional recognition requirements.
Any educational qualifications attained by distance only learning, online learning and external modes will not be recognised. Please contact your association for further advice.
