If you have a boat, whether it’s a speedboat, yacht or tinnie, we can cover it.
Bupa's boat insurance, offered through CGU Insurance Pty Limited (CGU), covers you for:
- fire, storm damage, theft, malicious damage, accidental damage
- full replacement of your boat if it's less than two years old and is a total loss (limits apply)*
- cost of moving or towing your boat to the nearest repairer (up to $500)
- if your boat is in an accident more than 100 kilometres from home, and it is damaged and cannot be used, we will return it to your home
- damage to your boat trailer and boat accessories in some instances (limits apply)*
- up to $500 for certain personal property that is lost or damaged
- $10 million liability.
It also provides some optional extras:
- For sailing boats you can choose to also cover your sails, masts, spars or rigging if the boat is used for racing
- For motorised boats liability cover to protect you in the event that you cause injury to water skiers
