Bupa provides international private medical insurance for your employees while they are temporarily assigned overseas. In addition and in some circumstances, they may be eligible for up to 60 days cover when they return to Australia, for work or on leave *.
Moving and working abroad can be a stressful time in anyone’s life, especially if it involves relocating the family too. By providing cover for your employees’ spouse and children they will have the added reassurance that if anything happened they have someone to turn to if they need prompt access to medical insurance.
Bupa’s international medical insurance has a range of family focused benefits, such as newborn care, visits to the family doctor, vaccinations and prescribed out-patient drugs and dressings.
The benefit to you is that your employees will be able to work more effectively, secure in the knowledge that their family’s health insurance is well looked after.

USA Cover - All cover levels come with emergency cover for 28 days as standard.
However, if your employees spend much of their time in the USA, they’ll need USA Cover on an annual basis. With USA Cover, there are special arrangements in place if your employees need to be hospitalised while they are there. This includes access to a select network of quality hospitals and other medical treatment providers with direct settlement of all covered expenses while they receive treatment there.
Please note that we are unable to offer cover to permanent residents in the USA
Evacuation - When treatment is unavailable locally, we’ll arrange for your employees to be taken to the nearest medical facility equipped to deal with their condition, wherever they are in the world.
Repatriation - As well as providing evacuation cover, this option enables your employees to return to their home country for treatment, if the necessary medical treatment is not available locally.
Dental cover - Optional international dental cover can be taken out on all levels except Essential. This offers accident related dental cover as well as routine, preventive and major restorative treatment as an optional extra.
