You’re covered for unlimited emergency ambulance trips including air services and on-the-spot treatment Australia wide when provided by recognised providers

You’re covered for non-emergency ambulance trips including air services when provided by recognised providers and are capped at $5,000 per person per calendar year

• South Australia Ambulance Service
• St John Ambulance Service NT
• St John Ambulance Service WA
• Tasmanian Ambulance Service

An emergency is an unplanned event where you need immediate medical treatment. Benefits are only available for emergency or casualty transportation where, in the opinion of a medical officer, a customer requires immediate medical treatment in circumstances where there is serious threat to the customer’s life or health.

A non-emergency could be transportation from a hospital to your home, nursing home or hospital for ongoing medical treatment.

What's not covered

Situations when you are likely not to be covered include;

Air services (including helicopter services) and road transport services that are not operated by a state or territory government or an organisation recognised by us.

Where your state Government provides an ambulance benefit (eg Queensland and Tasmania) or you are covered through a state based reciprocal arrangement.

When you hold a subscription with your state ambulance service.
