Benefits are only available for emergency or casualty transportation where, in the opinion of a medical officer, a customer requires immediate medical treatment in circumstances where there is serious threat to the customer’s life or health. A non-emergency could be transportation from a hospital to your home, nursing home or hospital for ongoing medical treatment. What's not coveredSituations when you are likely not to be covered include; Air services (including helicopter services) and road transport services that are not operated by a state or territory government or an organisation recognised by us.
