For Western Herbal Medicine practitioners to attain Bupa recognition for benefit payment purposes, the applicant must have completed an advanced diploma or degree in western herbal medicine from an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or Australian university. Applicants without this must have their current competencies assessed by an RTO to determine equivalency.

Any educational qualifications substantially attained by distance only learning, online learning and external mode will not be recognised.
