Bowen therapy

Recognition criteria

To apply for recognition please contact your professional Association.

For Bowen Therapists to attain Bupa recognition for benefit payment purposes, the applicant must have completed a Diploma in Bowen Therapy at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Applicants without this must have their current competencies assessed by an RTO to determine equivalency.

The following courses meet these minimum requirements:

  • 21620VIC Diploma of Bowen Therapy
  • 51818 Diploma of Bowen Therapy
  • 51816 Advanced Diploma of Bowen Therapy
  • 51559 Diploma of Bowen Therapy
  • 10534NAT Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy

Applicants must also meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements

Any educational qualifications substantially attained by distance only learning, online learning and external mode will not be recognised.
