Recognition criteria

To apply for recognition please contact your professional Association.

For Aromatherapists to attain Bupa recognition for benefit payment purposes, applicants must have completed Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Applicants without this must have their current competencies assessed by an RTO to determine equivalency.

The following courses meet these minimum requirements:

  • HLT51407 Diploma of Aromatherapy
  • HLT52315 Diploma of Clinical Aromatherapy

Additionally, applicants must also meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements.

Any educational qualifications substantially attained by distance only learning, online learning and external mode will not be recognised.
