Alexander technique

Recognition criteria

To apply for recognition please contact your professional Association.

For Alexander Technique Teachers to attain Bupa recognition, applicants must have completed a three year approved Alexander Technique teacher course consisting of 1600 class hours and clinical practice. Applicants without an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) qualification must have their current competencies assessed by a RTO.

The following courses meet these minimum requirements:

  • Certificate to teach the Alexander Technique
  • 21918VIC Advanced Diploma of Alexander Technique Teaching
  • 10403NAT Advanced Diploma of Alexander Technique Teaching

Additionally, applicants must also meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements.

Any educational qualifications substantially attained by distance only learning, online learning and external mode will not be recognised
