Since its inception in 1985 Healthscope has grown to become Australia’s largest provider of integrated private healthcare.
Healthscope operates over 4,500 inpatient beds across 33 acute hospitals, 4 dedicated mental health hospitals and 4 rehabilitation facilities. Healthscope also manages 3 acute hospitals on behalf of the ACHA Group in South Australia.
This diverse portfolio includes large high acuity metropolitan hospitals, some co-located with public hospitals, as well as regional and suburban hospitals.
Healthscope is also one of the largest providers of pathology services and operates over 60 medical centres and specialised skin clinics across Australia.
In 2011, Healthscope became the first Australian private healthcare provider to publish comprehensive quality performance data from individual hospitals on a dedicated website, MyHealthscope.
