Please review the below guidelines before submitting a proposal. Only proposals addressing these guidelines will be assessed.
Bupa generally requires four months lead time to effectively plan and implement our leverage activities
Logo and/or name exposure is considered a bonus but is not the primary goal of our community partnerships
Philanthropic fundraising is not considered a community partnership and will not be eligible
Your application will be reviewed by the relevant Bupa team and you will be notified of the outcome by a Bupa representative within three weeks.
Here is a short overview to assist you with understanding and aligning your partnership proposal to the Bupa brand:
Our purpose is to enable longer, healthier, happier lives
We want to build awareness of our excellent range of Health & Care services (like our Dental Clinics, Optical Stores & Aged Care Homes) not just our insurance
We are passionate about developing programs, tools, events & services to make a meaningful difference to people’s health and champion important healthcare improvements
Our target audiences are defined by the following key life events:
Families: All families from pre-birth to primary aged school kids
Planning for care: encouraging and supporting informed health and living choices for the elderly and their primary carers
Getting healthier: making proactive physical and mental health changes at home and at work
Managing a condition: providing practical support for managing a serious diagnosis such as heart condition, cancer or diabetes
We work with our partners to empower Australians to make a difference to their health by increasing health engagement, health education and facilitating health outcomes (behaviour change).
To help us achieve this, any partnership proposal must provide the following:
A natural link with our purpose and brand positioning (see above)
Strong alignment to Bupa breadth of services and products
Directly relate to one of the key life event territories and the corresponding audiences (see above)
Be coordinated by a well-respected organisation, not for profit or registered charity
National reach and/or appeal
Assist in building awareness of the Bupa brand
Enable measurement of health and/or wellbeing outcomes
Offer an ongoing program or activity rather than one standalone event
Exclusive and meaningful content for our digital and social assets
Partnership exclusivity in the category of health and care (including health insurance, dental, optical and aged care)
